Business Development Workshop on Understanding Customer Needs

In today's rapidly evolving landscape of science and entrepreneurship, it's essential to bridge the gap between academic excellence and real-world impact. To realize this goal, SiSP organizes a workshop series, “Workshop for Basic Knowledge in Commercial Translation and Scaling Academic Services”.

During this first session, Dr. Keita Ono, a distinguished scientist and entrepreneur, educated SiSP staff on the concept of entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship. He emphasized on the need to understand ‘Customers’, ‘Needs’, ‘Resources’, and ‘Solutions’. Staff is then introduced to the concept of ‘Persona’ using the design-thinking technique of ‘empathy’. All technology platform teams are tasked to reach out and interview potential customer groups, identifying relevant personas for their services.
