Advancing Spatial Biology in Rare Cancer Research: SiSP at GATC 2025

From April 4–6, 2025, our lab was honored to be represented at the GATC 2025 Conference, co-organized by IISER Pune and the Genomics | Analytics | Technology Consortium (GATC) in India. Dr. Somponnat Sampattavanich delivered a talk entitled:

"Advancing Precision Medicine through Spatial Biology: Insights from Rare Cancer Applications"

In this presentation, Dr. Sampattavanich highlighted the power of spatial biology technologies in understanding the complexity of rare cancers, emphasizing:

  • Spatial proteomics and transcriptomics as tools to deconvolute tumor microenvironments,

  • Insights from our research on biomarker discovery in low-incidence cancers, including applications in immunotherapy and targeted therapy development,

  • The value of data integration frameworks that enable clinical translation of spatial datasets.

This conference provided a valuable platform to exchange ideas with Indian and international researchers pushing the frontiers of multi-omics, and translational genomics. We thank the organizers for the opportunity to share our work and build bridges between genomic communities in Thailand and India.

We remain committed to applying systems-level spatial approaches in the fight against cancer and fostering cross-border collaboration in precision oncology.
