Mastering High-Content Screening: From Theory to Practice - A Resounding Success at SiSP
We are thrilled to share the progress of our highly anticipated workshop, "Mastering High-Content Screening: From Theory to Practice," held on 7th - 8th December 2023. This event marks a significant milestone in the journey of SiSP towards enabling precision medicine for cancer patients.
A Convergence of Minds
Our sessions have seen an outstanding turnout with eager participants from esteemed institutions such as Siriraj, Salaya, Chulalongkorn, Ramathibodhi, and various private sectors. This diverse gathering of professionals has fostered a unique environment for learning and collaboration.
Day 1 Highlights
The workshop kicked off with an in-depth overview of Revivity's HCS technologies, paving the way for discussions on the application of high-throughput technologies to pre-clinical animal imaging in the therapeutics discovery pipeline.
Key sessions included:
Gene Silencing and Editing: Unlocking new approaches to classical pharmacological strategies and biological readouts.
Advanced Cell Culture Techniques: Navigating the complexities of 2D and 3D cultures, participants gained insights into spheroid cell cultures and drug to functional genomics screening.
Frontiers of AI in Science: The integration of Machine Learning and AI for analysis stood out as a cornerstone for future scientific endeavors.
The day concluded with a thought-provoking talk by Dr. Somponnat Sampattavanich from Siriraj Laboratory for Systems Pharmacology, Mahidol University, which was followed by an engaging Q&A session.
Day 2: Hands-On and Minds Engaged
The following day delved deeper with hands-on sessions that allowed participants to interact directly with Harmony Software for image analysis and the PreciScan technology for rapid object recognition.

Functional Precision Oncology: Prof. Valerie Yang's seminar provided invaluable insights into the application of these technologies in sarcomas and rare cancers.
